Martyn Aim's background is as an anthropologist. He has an MA Visual Anthropology, with training in documentary film and photography, and an MPhil in Social Anthropology, specialising in human rights. As an ethnographer, he spent a year working with the Nuu-chah-nulth First Nations peoples of western Canada, living in isolated communities. Images from his series "Salmon and Cedar" were purchased for permanent display in the British Museum. Martyn works as a freelance photojournalist. He is available for editorial and NGO assignments and is based in South East Asia. Recent clients include the British Museum, Time, and Discovery.
